Solvang Trip

We went to Solvang this past weekend for a vacation. It was lots of fun! We all (Tex, Dorothy, Carol-Ann, Will, Dillon, Jimmy, Tia, Rylee, Makayla, Donnie and I) stayed in a condo for 4 nights and had a ball. We walked up into town and explored the little Danish village, we lounged around the pool and hot tub, played pool and ping pong (not very well) and ate lots of good food!

It was really nice to get away and relax. We did some group activities and some individual things. One day Carol-Ann, Tia and I went for pedicures and manicures, that was really fun. I love sitting in those heated vibrating chairs and getting pampered. There was a lot of napping going on from everybody and it seems like every time we turned around we were eating again.

We walked through the little shops and founds some really great chocolate! We kept going back to that particular shop. I will post more pictures later from our visits to Ostrich Land and the mini horse farm. They were both really fun.

We visited the Old Mission there, but didn't go inside. We walked around the ground, which were beautiful and the scenery from there was incredible. It was gorgeous weather all weekend, perfect for walking around.

We had a great time and would love to go back sometime!!

A Fun Day with the Grandchildren

We have so much fun taking the kids to the park. They all love the swings! And the slides. Even Mac takes his turn down the side, and also Grampie!

We had so much fun with Asher and Eden when they were here, and we have the chance to take Dillon to the park whenever we want. Dillon and Grampie also like to go see the pigs.

We went there earlier today and some of the babies got out so Dillon helped Grampie drive them back to their pen. He has so much fun over there...and he is such a big helper.

Grampie and Dillon share the love for the pigs and take every chance that they can get to go over there and play with them. Grammie doesn't mind too much as long as they undress in the garage and go straight to the shower!

Just wanted to let people know that I have added a few new features and if everything worked right you should have been notified (via email) that I did this. Hope you all enjoy looking at this as much as I enjoy building it.

Welcoming the new year in...

Hello All,

We are excited to be starting 2009!! We have many things to be grateful for in the past years and we are looking forward to many new adventures this year! We will try to keep everyone posted with the newest pictures of our grandchildren (which is pretty much our whole world) and any important news that is happening. Also, there is of coarse "Mac"... he has become a very interesting part of our family. Mac was born December 29, 2007. We got him from Gizmo's (Carol-Ann's dog) second litter. He was soooo cute as a puppy and now he is just soooo handsome (as far as bulldogs go). He is fun to have around but can be very annoying! He seems to spend alot of time in his cage (in time-out)!! But we are hoping that he will soon be producing some awesome puppies of his own and will keep you all updated on that.
