Update

Just a quick update on what is going on at the "new" Hewes Farm.  We moved back to Boron on a 5 acre lot, so we could have all the animals with us.  It has been a challenge, to say the least.  A lot of work, but worth it.  We are starting to get settled, I still have more unpacking to do, but that is on going.

We had twin calves born on Oct. 17, a boy and a girl.  Mother and babies seem to be doing fine.  Then we had 8 baby pigs born on Oct. 24.  We lost the runt a couple of days later, but the other 7 are doing great!  We have 3 other sows due in the next 2 weeks, so much more work to do so as to get their pens ready for babies.

On the more human side... Carol-Ann and baby (Dayton) are doing well.  She is going to work until the end of the third week in November.  Then she is supposed to be home resting and trying to keep that baby in!!  We will see how that goes, she is actually not due until Jan. 23, but who knows!  We are hoping that she will last until after Christmas at least.  Donnie, Andrea and family are all doing good, they keep busy between work, school and soccer!  Oh ya, and gymnastics!  I am very sad that I will miss Eden's first gymnastics meet (I have a soft spot for gymnastics, go figure).  We hope to see them soon with the coming holidays.

That's about it for now, we are getting ready for trunk-or-treat tonight and then Halloween on Sunday!!  Hope everyone has a good one!
